We got a note in the mail, saying that Elphie was due for her rabies and distemper vaccination. Now, our last vet vist went really smoothly, in, shots, out , park, everyone lived happily ever after. I was worried that this time wouldn't be so smooth. Murphy's Law and all.
I called the vet in the morning, asking if they were busy that afternoon (Elphie does better when there isn't chaos), which they weren't. We took in Niki and Elphie, let them sniff around outside, then they PULLED us INTO the vet's office. You could have knocked me over with a feather.
It took Elphie a few minutes to warm up once we were in the back, where they give the shots. She got suspicious when the third set of hands started petting her, but by that time, both vaccinations were done. Treats were distributed, all was well.
Afterwards, we went to the park, went home, changed, and went to play Bace ball and have an unimpressive (and likely, expensive) dinner in Los Gatos. Dinner went as well as expected, my brother-in-law got a Porsche for his birthday from his wife. Nice.
ALSO! The best clip EVER! on Robot Chicken- If you can find it online, do. It's a clip about President George W. Bush being a Jedi. It's freaking AWESOME.
